In MARCh 2006 the largest multichannel projection has been put into operation. Using 24 High-End projectors with up to 16.000 ANSI lumen per projector a seamless sky panorama is displayed on a ceiling in a shopping centre in Berlin. The ceiling of the centre in a shape of three rotundas with two aisles is used as one huge projection screen having a total size of more then 1.000 square metres. The installation also supports 3D Sound inside the shopping mall.The picture for the Panorama is created with a cluster using realtime graphics.

For the start three different panoramas have been launched. An underwater, a summer day and an outer space scenario. Because of using realtime graphics each Panorama is customized controllable.

Edge blending & warping during Installation.

The system is running daily during the shopping hours and is capable displaying nearly any real or fictive/fantastic firmament. With this installation the sky in Berlin has been defined new. Having cold and rainy water outside visit the shopping center and step inside and experience a great summer day while doing your shopping or enjoying a cup of coffee in one of the cafeterias.
