What is the difference in quality between the EP, SP, XP and UXP? Are they all recording in HD?

Sara/Editor  From:JVC  Hit:  2011-8-17

The difference is the bit rate they use. EP is the lowest at 5Mbps. UXP is the highest at 24Mbps. SP is 12Mbps. XP is 17Mbps. The bit rate affects how clean the picture looks, particularly in scenes where there is motion. Generally with HD it is worthwhile to choose the best quality. HD video recorded in EP, SP or XP can be saved to a DVD-R. HD video recorded in UXP can only be saved to a Blu-ray disc. For most people, the XP mode is a good choice.
