Los Angeles, CA (July 12, 2010)— Vicon, an Academy Award®-winning developer of motion capture products, today announced the debut of its Advanced Services Group (ASG). The ASG was formed to service Vicon’s largest clients and those who regularly pioneer new approaches and techniques, including NASA, DreamWorks, Electronic Arts, Rockstar Games, ILM, ActiVision, Audiomotion, Ford and others; providing them with a dedicated team of support engineers, workflow experts and customized development.

Specifically, Vicon’s ASG focuses on the requirements, environments, and project-specific knowledge of key clients and providing services to help them innovate at the top of their industries, including:
• installation and support services
• managing plug-in development
• writing productivity scripts
• developing individualized high end workflows
• optimizing hardware
• integrating 3rd party hardware

The ASG also provides services that benefit all Vicon users, including focused training and documentation, product testing and advanced quality assurance testing of all Vicon Blade software releases. Tom Armbruster, VP of Sales and Entertainment Support for Vicon, oversees the new group while day-to-day operations are handled by Support Engineer Steven Andrews and former Vicon House of Moves Stage Manager Andre Lopez.
