※Product Overview※
SAASCAN
Built for rapid deployment and repeated use. The instrument of choice for one-shot verification of the alignment of jet-grouting holes. Thick-walled 500 mm segments provide great spatial detail and resist damage.
OVERVIEW
Segment Length:
500 mm
Installation:
Vertical
Applications:
Designed to verify borehole alignment
Product Duration:
Rapid installation and removal
Designed to be used, moved, and re-used as quickly as possible, SAAScan is ideal for applications where borehole shape must be measured repeatedly—jet grouting and borehole drilling, for example. SAAScan’s robust and durable construction combines twist-resistant joints and thick-walled stainless steel segments. The construction contains a compact array of MEMS gravity sensors.
SAAScan saves time and money. It is a reel-based system enabling the measurement of hundreds of holes. A unique extension hose and cable terminator allows SAAScan to remain anchored on the reel while the rest of the array length is installed to collect accurate real-time data.
SAAScan’s segment length is 500 mm. SAAScan can be manufactured to a maximum length up to 100 m. All ShapeArrays are manufactured in an ISO 9001 certified facility.
The development of SAAScan opened a new market: the cost efficient, precise and reliable measurement of borehole deviation. Meanwhile most of the European contractors in Special Foundation Work use SAAScan."
TECHNICAL OVERVIEW
SAAScan contains MEMS sensors in every segment that measure acceleration, tilt, and temperature. SAAScan can be used in vertical or horizontal installations. SAAScan installed near vertical measures the magnitude and direction of lateral deformation to display a 3D shape. In near horizontal orientation, it measures vertical deformation to display 2D settlement data.
The most important benefit of using SAAScan is the ability to capture a complete snapshot of the borehole. SAAScan data is typically retrieved in the field manually through an SAAFPU. Data from the ShapeArray can also be collected by a data logger where it can be stored and manually collected or streamed wirelessly to a PC or central server.
