MossRehab, Philadelphia, USA
MossRehab is a leading USA rehabilitaion and research facility with a global reputation.
The MossRehab facility in Philadelphia is part of the Einstein Healthcare Network.
There are currently 2 gait laboratories equipped with Codamotion systems in use there. Each has 4 of the latest CX1 units, a control hub plus the usual array of markers, marker drive boxes and gait wands.
The first system is used in a clinical setting for gait analysis of patients as part of the rehabilitation process. This system provides the normal integration of 5 Bertec force plates and Motion Labs MA300 32 EMGs. It is configured to produce Gait Analysis reports onto a standard template output with normative data for comparison.
The second system is used for mobility research, and utilises the ODIN software suite to allow a highly flexible approach to modelling and analysis of biomechanical data. Whereas most gait trials in the clinical setting are usually of the order of 4-10 seconds in duration, this system has been used for extended trials lasting up to 30 minutes.
