C. Behrens Formen & Design GmbH is a company based in Germany that specializes in the manufacturing of molds and aluminum-lasts for the shoe industry.

Behrens created a safety sole for the ladies shoe, “VENEZIA”, using a combination of digital technologies including Geomagic FreeForm Plus system and Rhino.

Work began with an initial project briefing with Behrens’ customer, Schomburg & Graf

 • Shoe to be produced with and without a steel inlay
 • Cemented sole
 
 Behrens then created and presented a hand sketch of the shoe sole.
