Magnus Sjölin and Martin Skoger bring years of engineering experience to Market Director roles with responsibilities across Europe
Gothenburg, 2 October 2018 -  Qualisys, the leading provider of precision motion capture technology, is delighted to announce the appointment of two new Market Directors. Magnus Sjölin and Martin Skoger joined the company over the summer and will look to develop the engineering side of the business.

Magnus joins as Market Area Director for Scandinavia with a remit for all Qualisys products and applications, while Martin is the new Market Area Director Engineering Europe.

Qualisys Market Directors are skilled at navigating a complex and technical marketplace, working closely with product teams and technical specialists to deliver the best motion capture solutions to clients all over Europe.

Both Magnus and Martin have decades of experience in engineering and have worked extensively with diverse technologies.

Engineering is a sector where Qualisys mocap products fit very well, and these appointments demonstrate a commitment to moving the company forwards and opening up new possibilities, while maintaining strong client relationships in its core business fields of human biomechanics and sport research.

Magnus Sjölin

Magnus comes to Qualisys after a decade at eye tracking firm Smart Eye, heading up their United States sales operations and focusing on research applications within automotive, aviation, human factors and neuroscience. He also had the role of sales manager and after that managed the company’s channel partner programme. Lately he’s been focusing on the European market.

Prior to joining Smart Eye, Magnus worked for ABB Robotics as a software sales driver as well as area sales support manager for all ABB Robotics products.

Magnus also worked for several years in sales at Lecab Material handling and Motoman Robotics.

Martin Skoger

Martin has a strong background in sales and training, having set up his own business in 1999 selling briquette presses and biofuel to the Chinese and Southeast Asian markets, before joining laser measurement systems firm Damalini (now Easy Laser AB) in 2005.

Martin worked at Damalini for over a decade, and his experience there was perfect preparation for his role at Qualisys as there are many synergies between the two companies in the fields of marine, oil and gas and wind power.

Both Magnus and Martin will be based at Qualisys HQ in Gothenburg.
